Loefah

Loefah is without a doubt a bastion of dubstep. His contributions to the DMZ imprint could be considered key moments in the evoltuion of the genre; whilst his remixes for Skream (on Tempa) and his recent Tectonic outing only serve to enforce this belief. 'Bass' is the primary function in his productions and with tracks like 'Goat Stare' and 'Ruffage' this can be heard to full effect. Bass is used to drive the tracks forward unceasingly, whether it be stabs, drones or squelches, the bass is relentless

iTAL tEK is Brighton based electronic musician Alan Myson. Signed with Mike Paradinas’s Planet Mu label, his music ranges from dark bass, heavy industrial dubstep to deep melodic electronica. High Contrast

High Contrast seemingly overnight became one of the most discussed drum'n'bass producers in years. Not since the late '90s, when Goldie and Roni Size were recording full-length albums rather than strictly tracks, had there been so much hype thrown upon a drum'n'bass producer's shoulders. The man behind the moniker — Cardiff, Wales, native Lincoln Barrett — remained humble despite the hype, taking it in stride. He was only 22 when he recorded True Colors, an ambitious double-disc debut album many within the music industry saw as having serious mainstream possibility. Breakbeat Science felt so strongly about it that the New York label released True Colors despite Barrett being a relative newcomer to the stateside drum'n'bass scene

Caspa

London-based DJ/producer Caspa is an influential figure within the dubstep community, not only as an artist but also as the founder of several influential labels (i.e., Storming Productions, Dub Police, Sub Soldiers). Born Gary McCann and also known as Quiet Storm, the West London native got into drum'n'bass at a young age and took up DJing before ultimately founding the label Storming Productions in 2004, followed by the subsidiary labels Dub Police and Sub Soldiers
